We tried Pizzaria 712 for the first time a couple weekend ago. It was so good! Drinks. Good. Appetizers. Good. Pizza. GOOD. Dessert. Good

Christmas and New Year's Eve 2011

For Christmas and New Year's we of course went to Vernal. It was so nice being with our families and we were actually really excited to get out of Provo for a while. Being with our families for a couple weekends was just what we needed :)

Bo's family has a new favorite thing to do right now and that is going shooting. So, of course on Christmas Eve we had to go shooting all together. It was a lot a of fun! We went forever!

Christmas Eve night we ate dinner at Bo's parent's house and of course opened up our jammies!

We got S.P.O.I.L.E.D for Christmas this year. I pretty much got a new wardrobe and Bo got a drum set and a shot gun! My parents surprised us with an Xbox as well!

Christmas day was really nice! We stayed at Bo's parent's opened presents in the morning then went to my parent's, opened presents and went to church. There are definitely pluses to our families living in the same place!

We had to drive back to Provo after Christmas on Monday so before we left we went shooting again so Bo could try out his new gun! There were tons of people who came to join in on the fun!

My dad bought me this gun a while ago. It was too big for me so had had it cut down so now I can reach the trigger nicely! Love it!

For New Year's we went back to Venal. We didn't do much. We just hung out. We took our Xbox and played Wipe Out and Just Dance. If you haven't played Wipe Out, you should try! You'll get so good laughs I promise!

Thanksgiving 2011

This year for Thanksgiving Bo and I went to St. George with my family. I am so glad we went! It was so nice and warm. We even got to eat dinner outside.

Thanksgiving was also my birthday! I got spoiled as usual! It was so nice to get to spent my birthday with my family and people I love!

Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous! The reason we went to St. George is because a couple of my cousins played in a soccer tournament the day after. My aunt's boyfriend is a chef and he cooked pretty much our whole meal! It was sooooo good! We were all full for hours!

Drea is getting so big! Bo pulled her around on her caterpillar forever and she was one happy little girl!

Marli got a loose tooth while we were there. My brother-in-law pulled it so we were all excited. Dylan just wanted a picture of his teeth and my cousin Chance also lost a tooth while we were there!

Bo's Birthday!

Bo has been so busy with school this semester and I've been getting more and more hours at work so I was happy Bo's birthday landed on a day he didn't have class.

This year we kind of just did the same thing as last year. I made him dinner. He always requests I make him dinner rather than going out. That's ok! Whatever he wants, just not sure my cooking is the greatest ;) After dinner our friends came over for dessert. I made pumpkin bars. I was a little nervous cause I've never been a baker but I guess it turned out alright!

Bo's parents were out the weekend before his birthday and he got spoiled with tea and a steeper from Teavana. My parents added to his tea selection as well! Now we have tea every morning and sometimes before we go to bed :)

Fall Break!

Last weekend for Fall Break we went to St. George and Lake Mead. It was so much fun! Such a nice little get away!

Friday morning we woke up early and headed to Lake Mead. It was a bit chilly in the morning. We stayed in our hoodies and sweats for a while. As soon as we stopped the boat, Bo didn't care about the cold! He jumped right into the water. Marli and Dylan put on my parent's smallest wet suits and followed Bo soon after! They are little troopers!

The rest of the day was pretty much spent relaxing, wake boarding, surfing and skating along with tubing!

Poor Drea was uncomfortable most of the day in her life jacket and couldn't crawl and move around much but she was so good all day!

After we left the lake, on the way back to St. George we stopped in Mesquite for dinner. As soon as Bo heard we were stopping there all day he couldn't stop thinking about playing the slot machines. As soon as we were done eating that's exactly what he did! Unfortunately we did not come home with any big winnings :(

Saturday was a relaxing day. We went to Marli's soccer game in the morning. She did so good! She keeps track of her goals she makes and she makes plenty :) I love her little uniform!

After her game we did a little shopping then headed off to dinner.

After dinner we went to Thriller at the Tuacahn! I'll admit, it was much better then when I watched it last week here in Provo. They didn't to as much in between stuff and the Tuacahn is such an awesome theater. We also got a kick out of the zombies walking around. No lie, they came up behind me and my family about 7 or 8 times. After a few times we started keeping track because they would not leave us along. It was funny though!

A couple weekends ago, we went and picked out a pumpkin with Landon and Olivia. We heard that the place we went to was supposed to be really cool but it was kind of a disappointment but that's ok! We got our pumpkins and that's all that matters right?!

On Thursday Olivia and I went to Thriller. We were both so excited to go. I have only heard good things about it and not gonna lie, I wasn't too impressed. Don't get me wrong, the dancing was amazing and the people are very talented but all the in between stuff was boring and seemed to last forever. But! I guess we know now! I always wondered what it was even about. Bo and I are going again this weekend with my family in St. George so let's hope somehow it is different. Maybe it will be better since it's at the Tuacahn theater! I'm excited!

Last weekend we finally carved our pumpkins :) Olivia and I cleaned them out, Bo and Landon carved them!

Silly Boys

Bo and Landon have known each other since forever I swear. I don't really know how to explain their behavior when they are together. Especially when we go to the grocery store. I guess the things that Olivia and I buy are not interesting to them so they have to find other ways to entertain themselves. For example they just had to put all the Halloween masks on at Smith's the other day.

And last month Olivia and I went to Wal-Mart to get a few craft things and Bo and Landon disappeared.. well kind of. We kept getting glimpses of them as they were running past the aisles. When we finally caught them this is what they were wearing:

Pretty much huge coats, pants and hats. Dorks! But I guess if they think they're funny we can let them think that ;)

Utah vs BYU Game

Last month we got our Utah gear and Landon and Oliva got their BYU gear so that we could watch the Utah vs BYU game! We went to Landon's aunt and uncle's to watch the game on their HUGE screen! We had so much fun to start out but then, not gonna lie, it got a little sad, boring. Poor BYU ;)

I finally have a minute to update about what we've been up to!

We've had some pretty busy weekends!

After we got home from Mexico there was not resting or down time for us! We got home on Thursday, went to work Friday then left that night for Vernal with Lando and Olivia!

Right before we left for Mexico we got news that one of Bo's friends, Daniel Gurr, died serving our country. Bo played soccer with him in high school. We are so glad we came home when we did because we got the opportunity to attend his funeral. It was a very eye opening experience. It kind of put things into perspective. It's different when you know them. We are very grateful for Daniel and all the other men and women who are serving our country. It was so amazing to see all the flags up and down the streets in Vernal. I wish we could have been there the day before when all of Vernal welcomed Daniel home. I can only imagine the sight it was.

After the funeral, my parents took us to the lake! They got a new boat at the beginning of the summer so we were excited to try it out!

Olivia was a good sport and got out on the tubes with Lando and Bo. Me... Not so much of a good sport.

The next weekend I went to our friends, Jason and Mallori's wedding. Bo had to work so I was a loner during the day but the ceremony was so nice!

After the wedding we headed to Vernal again.

We went boating again. A few of Bo's friends came with us from Wisconsin. They had never tried wakeboarding so we spent the day teaching them. We also got a wake surf and were trying it out!

The rest of the weekend was so much fun! We went to Jason and Mallori's reception and on Sunday we went to Lakyn's farewell. She did such an amazing job and giving her farewell talk. I've already read a couple of her emails and it sounds like she is rocking it just like we knew she would!

Labor Day weekend was nice and relaxing, which was just what I needed :) I have been working lots of hours at work so Saturday was spent working and napping! On Monday we went to Bridal Veil Falls with Drew and Jessica and Lando and Oliva with some Taco Bell! We didn't last long though cause the wind picked up and it started raining. But it was nice to get out after a relaxing weekend!

Last weekend we celebrated Lando's birthday! Olivia is so talented and baked and decorated her little booty off! Everything she did turned out so cute!

Did I mention I'm an "aunt" again?! To this little guy:

The Last Day :(

We had to leave to head to the airport by noon on Thursday when we left so we didn't have much time to do anything. So we just ate breakfast and then hung out on the beach for a couple hours. Oh- and waited for the vendors to come! I really really wanted to get another pair of sunglasses so I was hoping for the vendor with the sunglasses to come. We waited til about the last second and he finally came!

I forgot to mention this 'green drink!' It was so good. Bo had it pretty much every morning. I don't even know how to explain it, it had so many different flavors!

Mexico Day Cuatro!

The 4th day we were there was our last full day :( You could also call day 4 picture day! Sorry for all the pictures. We didn't do too much. It was nice, we mostly walked around the city and explored :) It was nice to just sight see and hang out.

When we went on our zip line tour we saw this little taco place on the way. We took the bus up town and saw it again so we got off cause we wanted to try it out. I'm so glad we went! It was yummy and so cheap for how much food they gave us! It was a kind of a cool place too.

Can I just tell you that I was addicted to Coke while I was there? I am NOT a Coke drinker but I swear the it's different down there! Every time I try it here now I get disappointed.

They had all these different salsas to put on our tacos. They all ranged in hotness. Bo was brave and tried all of them minus the avocado one cause he is allergic but he said they were pretty hot!

Sorry there are so many pics of us! After lunch we went and did our exploring and took lots of pics! Now we have new ones for our house though!

When we got on the bus to go back to our resort, Bo was paying and so I went and sat down. I tried to save him a seat next to me but this little old lady sat down next to me... awkward haha! She kept talking to me in Spanish and I didn't know what she was saying so I just nodded and smiled like I knew what she was talking about. Bo just had to get a picture!

We got lucky, while we were there USA and Mexico were playing each other so we went into the bar area at our resort to watch. Of course we had to get our Cokes!

In the middle of the game it was sunset and I had been wanting to get pictures of like every day so I didn't want to miss it the last night we were there. It was so pretty! I'm glad we didn't miss it!

After the game, it started storming a little. There was thunder and lightening so we went and watched on our balcony. It was crazy! The thunder went For-ev-er!

This pic was taken when lightening struck! No lie! It was as dark as the picture below outside. Bo took the picture just at the perfect time and it make it look like it was daylight outside. Crazy hu?! You can kind of tell it was dark from the pool on the left. It's all lit up.

Mexico Day Tres!

Day 3 of our trip started early. We went on a zip line tour. There were 12 lines and they were all very high and above the jungle. It was so much fun! I would recommend doing it! It was so cool to look over the pretty trees and river. Bo and I were the only ones who went just on the zip lines so it was kinda fun just spending time with just us and he tour guides.

It was kind of humbling cause we saw a lot of houses like this. Makes me grateful for what I have.

Sad story... Oil from the lines got on our clothes :( We were a little sad. It ruined both of our shirts and Bo's shorts and I had a swim suit under my tank top and the oil soaked through. But I guess it was worth it :)

After the tour we just went back to the resort and relaxed again, swam in the ocean, got drinks, layed out and took a nap!

Alright, so I layed out. I couldn't lay out long cause it made me feel bad cause Bo would just go swim and entertain himself. Poor guy.

After our long nap, we decided to go walk around our resort and just see what kind of shops and stores there were. While we were walking around, guess what we found!!!

Remember when we were planning the trip I mentioned how we wanted to go to this sushi place we heard was fabulous? Well once we got to Mexico, we never really intended to go. We thought if we go then we go if not it's alright cause we'd just find other thing to do. I am surprised we found it cause it was back off the road and not really lit up or anything. I am so glad we went cause all the things we read about it were true. It was soooo good! And, we got lucky cause the day we went they were having a deal for all you can eat so it was cheaper! Kinda crazy!

Mexico Day Dos!

The second day we were in Mexico, we woke up and had a fabulous breakfast. Bo loved loved the chili relleno omelet thing. I tried something new pretty much every morning.

After breakfast we hopped on a bus and ended up here:

We wanted to go to a different beach than the one at our resort. We were told to get on the bus and go til the driver says he is going to turn around. We didn't really listen to that piece of advice so we had to walk a ways to get to the beach but it was a lot of fun actually just touring and looking in all the shops and stores.

After walking lots of blocks and possibly another bus ride, we finally made it here:

There were so many people cause I guess when we went was also the time when a lot of people in Mexico vacation themselves to Puerto Vallarta. But we really wanted to go and it was worth it!

Once we were done with our little scavenge through Puerto Vallarta, we went back to the resort and swam in the pool and ocean to cool off. We were dying of heat! We asked our butler about good places to eat. He told us there was a little restaurant on the hill where you can watch fireworks from the ocean while you eat. So he made a reservation for us and we got ready!

Side story: On our way there, we kept thinking, where is our taxi taking us. Cause the butler told us it wasn't very far away. As we drove I told Bo that the area started looking kinda familiar (I went to Puerto Vallarta when I was in middle school) but I didn't wanna sound like I didn't know what I was talking about since it was so long ago that I'd been. But sure enough, the taxi guy turned up a road and there was the condo that my family and I stayed in like 10 years ago! I was so excited I couldn't wait to tell my family! The pic above is the condo.

Anyway, on to the restaurant... It was called El Palomar De Los Gonzalez. It was kinda strange at first cause we were thinking, 'where did our taxi driver drop us off' and 'I hope this is worth it.' The entrance was kinda scary, we had to go up 2 flights of stairs. But! Can I just say I am so happy we went?! We got the BEST seats in the place and the view was soooo pretty! Oh! And the food was so good! I kinda wanted to go back ;) It was so peaceful and so nice to just look at the view while we enjoyed our food and the service was great!

Mexico Day Uno!

I am seriously horrible!!

I have not been able to get around to blogging our Mexico trip til now. Don't be surprised if it takes me a week or two to get through the whole trip. We took over 500 pictures so the thought of blogging it kind of overwhelms me ;)

But! We had a fabulous time, didn't want to come back and wish were still there! Here is how our trip started:

We left early Sunday morning to catch our flight to Phoenix then on to Puerto Vallarta!

Finally on our way :)

Bo put a countdown on his phone the day after we planned the trip. It felt like it took years for it to reach the number zero so I had to document it.

Once we got to the airport we had about 100 people yelling at us wanting us to use their taxi or bus services. All we knew was we had a way to our resort because it came with our trip package and we were supposed to find the one person taking us there out of the hundred. Bo just kept walking and I was lagging behind trying to figure out what everyone was saying. Needless to say, it was probably good I lagged because somehow I found the guy who had our information. This pic is of us in the scary van on the way to the resort.

The resort was BEAUTIFUL! Hence the pics!

They had a bar in the pool so you could swim right up and get drinks and snacks!

The first thing we did after we got our all settled was of course get some drinks. Bo always got Pina Coladas and I fist got Strawberry Daiquiris til I discovered the Mango Daiquiris ;)

We got lucky while we were there. We got to release baby turtles into the ocean. Our resort got the eggs off the beach and took care of them til they hatched. The reason we got lucky is because baby turtles only hatch every 45 days or so. Not gonna lie, even though this was only the first day of our trip, it was one of the highlights for me! The baby turtles were so cute and they would flap their little legs like they were ready to swim and begin their new life! It was such a fun experience!

Oh PS, we had to name our turtle. We named him Rosco. Isn't he adorable.

When we released them they all just took off toward the water as fast as they could and the tide would take them away. So fun hu?!

Our package for our trip was all-inclusive so we got to enjoy free drinks all we want and free food. The restaurant at our resort was so good! (Don't judge me for taking pics of pretty much all the food we ate, gotta remember right?!)

Family Reunion!

Last weekend we went to the Jaramillo Family Reunion. It was in Utah this year so we decided to go hang out with my parents and family. The reunion was in Altonah. The property we went to belongs to my aunt's family so we've been there a few times. My favorite thing about that place is the teeter totters :)

Bo and I started off teeter tottering together and of course it didn't work so my mom got on with me to help with the weight issue.

It didn't really help, Bo had to use a cinder block to get his side to go down haha

The first thing we did when we got there was made marshmallow guns and had a war! Bo's parents and sister came up for the night so it was a lot of fun!

This picture makes me laugh every time I see it! Bo and his dad were doing 'tactical rolls' to try to dodge the marshmallows!

My Uncle Foston brought his potato gun and put glow sticks in it and shot them off at night for the little kids. It was actually so cool to see them falling from the sky.

Have you ever heard of planking?

Saturday was the fun day! My dad planned out a bunch of stuff. We did some skeet shooting, shot paint ball guns, ate amazing mexican food!!, had a raffle, and played Minute to Win it!

Bo brought his gun along and has been dying to shoot is because he's only been able to shoot it once so we went out into the field so he could finally shoot it!

Rewind

A couple weekends ago, Bo's parents met us at Strawberry so that we could go fishing. Sadly, we have no pictures with fish. We had no luck whatsoever with catching anything. Not even a nibble. But! We had a good time otherwise. It was nice spending the day with Bo's parents. It was so peaceful and relaxing. After we went to Tarahumara again :) Can't get enough of the place!

Bo's mom kept teasing him with a piece of grass. She would put it in his ear and he kept swatting at it like it was a bug haha

Later we cleaned up and went to the Provo Beach Resort to watch a Flowrider competition. It was so much fun! Those people are so talented and can do some of the coolest tricks. We've been a couple times and have seen people attempt to do it but I have never seen anyone do what they did. If they come back again. I recommend watching!

Last Sunday, Bo and I made this:

I am addicted to Pinterest as well as everyone else I know. We got a fabulous recipe for salmon on it and it worked out great! I wasn't expecting it to be so good. We both scarfed it down and will probably make it again real soon :)

Dinner Fun

These are horrible pictures... but Bo and I have started doing dinner with our friends every week. We all cook dinner one night out of the week and switch off bringing a side or a dessert. I can say that I love it. It's so nice not having to come up with something to cook every night and it's even better having someone else to eat dinner with.

May I also add that after dinner, Olivia and I go to Zumba or Power Pump and Gold's Gym! I love it! It feels so good to be getting an actual work out :)

Projects

Last weekend Bo and I went on a cleaning rage and then we decided we finally wanted to put up the curtain and some decorations I've been promising we could put up pretty much since we moved in. Kinda sad it took him a year and a half to get me to do it. So here it is! Our cleaning did not pay off. We got our apartment messy again since I had to get my sewing machine out and all the fabric. We had an over abundance of fabric left over from our wedding so we are trying to up it to good use ;) Next project... Pillows for our bed!

Bo and Landon have been playing Nazi Zombies non-stop lately so Olivia and I did another project. I have had these birds since May and have never had a chance to put them all together. Olivia is super creative so she helped me finish them. I am so glad they are finally done. Now I need to think of something else to go on my entertainment center. I'm getting a little sick of wedding pics. Maybe we'll get some new ones in Mexico!

Weekend

So the other night Bo and I found $20 in a card from our wedding... I don't even know where it was hiding! But good news! We used it to go to Transformers this weekend! We have been wanting to see it for a while now cause we've heard nothing but good things about it! Not gonna lie, I got a little bored in the beginning but the ending made up for it! I really like Shia Labeouf and they had some sweet action parts! I recommend it :)

We spent Saturday at the lake with Landon and Olivia. I was oober excited because I have not been out in the sun all summer :( but I am sure paying for it today! I got FRIED! I have a stripe on the sides of my body- I didn't tan as long on both sides... I'm just happy I got to play in the lake and lay on my floatie!

After the lake we went to Tarahumara. I bet you're jealous of our cheesecake chimichanga! It was delish!

DIY Glitter Toes

What you need:

* Glitter. I got it in the craft section at Wal-Mart.

* Paint brushes.

* 2 different kinds of clear polish. Use the shiniest one for the top coat. (If you can figure out a good polish, you may be able to just use one)

* Paper or newspaper- just something to catch the glitter.

Step 1:

Put a piece of paper under your foot. Paint your nails with the leash shiniest polish. I used the "bullet-proof" one.

Step 2:

Sprinkle the desired color of glitter on toes. Make sure you cover it good. Don't be afraid to make a mess cause the more your put on the better your toe nail gets covered. I also use my finger to press it down onto the polish a little. Not too hard that it takes the glitter of though.

Step 3:

Use one of the paint brushes to brush off the excess glitter on your toes. Sometimes it doesn't completely come off but it washes off once your toes are dry.

Step 4:

Use the "bullet-proof" polish again to cover the top of the glitter. You can put quite a bit on. Let it dry pretty good.

Step 5:

Use the shiniest polish and paint one more time. This will help it to not be so rough from the glitter. Make sure it dries pretty good or they get messed up pretty easy. Once you're done just fold the paper a little and put the excess glitter back in the bottle. And that's it! Pretty easy right?

4th of July Weekend Events

We of course went to Vernal for the 4th this year. It is not the 4th without going to Vernal and being with family that's for sure. This year was fun because Bo's family had a family reunion and we got to be with lots of family. Sad part... we didn't get to go boating since my parents are in Australia. I can not think of a time not going to the lake on the 4th. But, that's alright! They had some pretty big plans in Australia and I was a bit jealous.

Here's just a little of what we did:

The weather was a little crazy. Sunday and Monday there was thunder and lightening. This is us watching the lightening on Sunday night.

We of course did the annual Tippage Tournament with Bo's family. We had so much fun! We had to start a little early this year because we, along with a few other people had to head out early and drive home. This year there was a huge showing and around 30 people played! It made it pretty interesting. Bo and I ended up next to each other in line... needless to say, he got me out. Thanks Babe, I'll remember that one ;)

These are pretty much the only fireworks we saw :( This is from the car window as we pulled into Provo. We had to leave Vernal before the fireworks because we had to work on Tuesday and didn't want to get home to late.

My sister-in-law did glitter toes on my toes for me and taught me how! It's not actual glitter toes but it worked out perfect and I think they're cute! I'll have to post a how to soon cause I bought all the stuff I need to do it myself :)

Little Scratches...and Not so Little Scratches

I guess you can say last week brought a few scratches...

Scratch #1: My Face

Pictured above is a lovely scratch on my face. How did this happen you ask? Oh a box just fell on my face at work. I went to grab a box off a tall shelf and it fell on my face. I wasn't going to say anything but just by how it felt I could tell it would be a little noticeable. Bo told me that it looked like a cat scratched my face... that only made it better.

Scratch #2: Our Car

Yes, this is a picture of our new car... with a big scratch down the side with a few other injuries. Poor thing. I got in an accident last Thursday :( A truck with a trailer (pictured below) was on the cement barrier in the middle of the freeway. Long story short, a car like 6 cars in front of me hit the trailer, there was a pile up, I was the end of it and I swerved to miss the car in front of me and her side mirror scratched the whole side of our car :'( Of course it had to be our new car... But! No one got hurt and come tomorrow, our car will be as good as new :)

Side story: Bo and I spent about 2 hours scrubbing off the black scratch. We probably didn't need to do it because it had to get fixed but it helped me not feel as bad driving it around haha

The rest of our week was much better. Saturday we went to a bbq at the park with people from Bo's work. One of his co-workers/good friends is moving to Florida for school so we had a little farewell get-together! We wish him and his wife luck! I think Bo is going to miss him!

We ended our day by going to Seven Peaks! I have been DYING to go. I need some definite sun. So it was nice and relaxing!

Bo and I have been planning on planning a trip for a couple months now so we finally did it! We planned our trip and we are staying here:

We are going to Puerto Vallarta in August!!! We can NOT wait! We are staying at the resort pictured above and it is all-inclusive which means we get to eat and play all we want! We are also very excited because as we read all the wonderful reviews on the resort we discovered that there is a fabulous sushi place close by the resort! That will definitely be one of our priorities! We can't wait to lay in the sun and feel the sand between our toes ;) If any of you have any fun suggestions for fun things to do or places to go while we are there let me know :)

On Friday night we went to Rio in 3D. Love love that movie! We have been wanting to see it since it came out considering it takes place in Brazil and there are a few phrases in Portuguese. Bo really enjoyed it!

Yesterday we went to the annual Chalk Art Festival! The weather was much better than last year. Last year we got fried and this year the weather was perfect. Bo's little sister has done it the past 3 years so of course we had to go to support her. Here is her art:

She ended up wining the People's Choice Award. So many people would stop to comment on how well she did. We are so excited for her!

Last weekend we took a spontaneous trip to V-town. On Friday night after work we went to the temple with Drew and Jessica. Once we got out we had pics on our phone sent from Bo's parents of their torn apart kitchen. They are in the middle of remodeling and it looked like they had a lot of work ahead of them. We felt so bad and we thought about all the times they've helped us so we left Provo at 10:30 that night and headed to V-town to go help them. I am so glad we went! We got started at 7:30 in the morning and didn't end til 11:30 at night. We actually had a really good time! It worked out perfect that we went because Bo's dad ended up hurting his ankle and getting sick so if we weren't there, not as much would have gotten done. My dad even helped out a lot on Saturday night and let us used his drills! By Sunday, we were exhausted! We pulled up linoleum, sanded, mudded, painted and put down backer board to prepare for the tile. I wish I would have taken more pictures of all that we did! If I remember I will post a pic of the finished product :)

...Summer weather that is! I am sure loving it!

Bo and I started rollerblading some more this week considering the warm weather outside! I am so excited! I love it! Not sure if I'll ever be able to keep up with Bo and he probably doesn't like rollerblading with me much but he is pretty patient with me :) It's a great workout that's for sure. I can feel it in like EVERY muscle in my legs and even my back! Now let's just hope I can keep up the motivation to keep going.

With all the basketball and hockey finals right now I think that we will be watching lots of games with the combination of Bo, Lando and Drew. Last night we watched the hockey game. The boys watched intensely while we girls painted our toe nails of course!

After the game, the boys wanted to go freebording and we didn't really want to go along so we went to Spark and enjoyed yummy drinks and desserts.

Today was a good day too! It started off by a phone call from my mom. She called to let me know my sister had her baby! Yay! No name yet but he is 8 lbs 1 oz and 21 in long! We are so excited! Congrats Toya, Vake, Kenyon and Noa!

Also, once again, thanks to the warm weather, we got to BBQ outside!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was a good one this year! We got an early start. Thursday night, my sister came and stayed at our place. She went out with some friends for the night we Bo and I got to play with Marli and Dylan all night! They are hilarious, so smart and growing way too fast. We took them to the park and had so much fun. Marli was making new friends left and right. Dylan just loved the swings and didn't want to stop swinging. I think we had just as much fun as they did!

We walked to the park and because they played hard I think it made them a bit tired cause this is how they fell asleep:

Drea is getting so big and has changed so much! She is a thumb sucker. She won't take a binky but she surely loves her little thumb. I love watching Marli and Dylan with her. They are always mauling her and kissing her and hugging her. Drea is not too fond of people being in her space so she gets a little mad haha but she is a very loved baby that's for sure!

We made it home on Friday afternoon just in time to see Tayla graduate! We are so excited for her and can't wait to see where life takes her! I can't believe that she's graduated! Time flies! Congrats Tay! We love you!

We haven't been home in forever so it was so good to see our families. We went to Kung Fu Panda 2 with my dad, sister and the kids. Bo and I fell asleep...oops! But it was good from what I saw ;) We are just glad we got to spend time with everyone!

We went to Olivia and Lando's reception while we were in Vernal as well. Remember the car story? Well, we did a little better this time at decorating their car this time around!

Bo's parents own a bunch of awesome bikes so we went on a nice little bike right with Bo's sister. It makes me want one... even though we have some, don't you just love the cute beach cruiser ones though??

Overall our weekend pretty much rocked and was fast one because of the busyness! It sure is the best being with our family though!

Anniversary Celebration!

Am I horrible at blogging or what?

Like I said in my last post, Bo and I celebrated our anniversary a couple weekends ago. We had such a fun, relaxing time! I love having time for just the two of us every once in a while.

We left on Saturday morning to Salt Lake. Our day started off by watching Born to be Wild. It was the cutest movie! I recommend it. The little orangutans and elephants were adorable and 3D is 1000 times better at an IMAX theater!

After the movie we just kinda relaxed, walked around the Gateway Mall and Trolley Square. It was just what we needed considering the last month has been always on the go.

Before going to the Anniversary Inn, where we stayed, we ate dinner at Last Samurai. I love love hibachi grills so it was perfect!

Boise!

Last weekend was yet another eventful one! We are so excited that Lano and Olivia are finally married! Friday morning we went to Logan for their wedding then left for Boise after the luncheon. Their sealing was so good! Bo and I have never been to the Logan temple so it's always nice getting to see different temples!

To kill time before the reception on Saturday, we went to the Farmer's Market. It was such a nice day. We got a little sun!

Side story: Lando and Olivia flew from Logan to Boise. Therefore, we did not think they had a car in Boise. We were bummed cause that meant we didn't get to decorate a car :(. Once the reception was over, Lando asked us how bad we got their car. We all looked at him confused and told him we didn't get his car cause we didn't know they had one in Boise. Well, come to find out. Olivia's brother drove one of their cars from Logan to Boise. Oops... We were sooo sad. While the reception was wrapping up and Olivia was changing out of her dress, Bo and Drew ran to the store and grabbed stuff to decorate their car; that is why in the first pic Lando and Oliva are walking to their car while it is getting decorated. No surprises for them. Sad. But they better be prepared cause they have another reception in V-town :)

If you haven't noticed, Bo and I love, love sushi. We have been trying and trying to talk Drew and Jessica into going with us to eat sushi. Well, while in Boise, they were troopers and at it with us! We even got Drew to eat Nigiri Sushi (pictured above). It surely wasn't his favorite but we are glad we have someone to eat sushi with us now!

Saturday was Bo and my anniversary! We were in Boise for Lando and Olivia's wedding so our celebration will be this weekend! I can't wait! I knew exactly what I wanted to get Bo for his gift! This is what I got him:

A Bear Grylls knife! He has been wanting one for a while now. We are going to be doing some camping this summer so he is excited to use it!

Bo got me these:

Free Runner running shoes! They are super comfortable! I used them on Monday, needless to say, they didn't get used very long due to my out-of-shapeness ;)

I seriously can not believe it's been a year! You know the saying "the first years are always the hardest?" Well I don't believe it. Or if it's true, then bring it on cause we've had such an amazing year! I don't have anything to complain about. We've had may milestones in our 5 1/2 year relationship! Here is just a few of them:

* He is very smart. I can ask him pretty much anything and he has an answer. I don't know how he knows so much but he just does.

about my AMAZING husband!

On Thursday, right at midnight, Bo couldn't stand it any longer. He checked his grades from the semester to see if they were posted yet and sure enough they were! He got a perfect 4.0! We were so excited. We were jumping up and down and dancing around! I am so proud of him! He actually did it! He worked VERY hard to get the grades he did. He was up many many late nights and on top of it he works a demanding full time job! He was so busy. (I've heard of people saying that in the past when they've worked and went to school, that's when they got the best grades. It's strange, but I believe it!) I am so glad all his hard work and effort paid off.

Because I am married to a Mr. Smarty Pants, we are going to be blessed yet another semester of school. In order to keep the scholarship he has, he needs to maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. His 4.0 he most definitely helped him rise above a 3.5 GPA. Which means he gets to keep his scholarship and he gets another semester paid for in full! We have seriously been so blessed to never have had to pay a penny for Bo's schooling. I will always be grateful for his motivation and hard work.

You did it Babe! Congrats! I'm so proud of you!

Ready, Set, Go! Go! Go!

There was most certainly NO down time in our house this week! We were sure busy every day! I love being busy though, it means more time with friends, family and having fun! Our week started out of course with FHE on Monday. We ate dinner and dyed Easter eggs. I know, I know a day late but hey! The dye was 50% off!

Wednesday after work we met up with some of our best friends at Brick Oven for pizza and a going away party for our friend Lakyn. She just recently got called to serve a mission in the Tacoma, Washington mission! We are all so excited for her! She will do amazing! It was so nice to catch up with everyone and get ready for everyone to go their own way for the summer.

After dinner we moved some of Drew and Jessica's things into our apartment until they get home from their honeymoon. We are so excited for them to move right next door! I wish I could only pack in this few of boxes. I need lessons from them on how to pack light!

Thursday night, Bo and I headed to Bountiful to spend the night with Drew and Jessica. Bo stayed in a hotel with Drew and his family and I stayed with Jessica at her parent's house. It was so fun getting to spend the night with them before they got married. Jessica and I helped her parents finish up last minute wedding stuff and got to bed at about 2 AM. Bo hung out and reminisced with Drew and his family til about 3 AM. We all woke up early for the wedding and it was a fabulous long day on Friday ;)

Yesterday, Bo and a couple of his friends treated Lando to Tucanos to celebrate before he gets married. For his gift, Bo and his friend got him a Freebord! Bo and Drew are so excited to have someone else to go with now. After lunch they spent the rest of the afternoon Freebording of course!

* rollerblading

*bike riding

* dinner making together - and dinner at normal hours

* time together

* exercise

* sleep

* relaxing

* everything!

Of course this MORE will only last through summer and then its right back to night classes, homework, studying and no time. I'm sure most of you feel the exact same way or have it even worse. But, for now I am just going to continue to be excited because summer starts for us tonight!

Busy! Busy!

These next few weeks and next month is going to be CRAZY BUSY for us (not that our life isn't already go, go, go)!

This weekend got our busy schedule started off the perfect way! Bo and I got to sleep in and spend the day together yesterday then later, Jessica went through the temple! I love going to the temple when someone is going through for the first time! It's the best! Only like a week and a half longer and Drew and Jessica will be our permanent neighbors :) Hope they're ready for that ;)

This is pretty much how we've spent our Easter today, just relaxing. We went to church, after I slept, Bo registered for classes and we had a fabulous dinner! Hope you all have had an amazing Easter!

PS.. Here are just a few things that are going to be keeping us busy and things I can not wait for:

* Bo being done with school for the summer! 2 more days!

* Drew and Jessica's wedding!

* Seeing my family in a couple weeks!

* Bo gets to have another "guys night," but this time for Lando!

* Our anniversary!!! Can't believe it's almost been a year! We have big plans and we are gonna stay HERE!

Girl's & Guy's Night....& Goodbyes

Last weekend was an interesting one. Bo planned a fun night with Drew to celebrate him getting married, so that meant Girls Night for Jess and me! Bo and Drew have been on the Survivor Man/Man vs. Wild kick lately so they wanted to go out into the woods and "survive." All I could think to myself was "they'll freeze, but it's their choice if they really wanna do it!" So last Friday night, they went in the woods and "survived."

For our Girls Night, Jessica and I went to Noodles & Company, Tangled in 3D and then we had a sleepover along with our friend Klinny :) Sleepovers are the best!

This is the tent the boys made. My thought were right, they did freeze. But, look at this, there is not wonder why they froze. There was still snow on the ground.

The whole night we girls were wondering what the boys were up to. I kept telling Jessica that I guarantee that they haven't even gotten a fire started. Sure enough, I was right. It took them ages to start the fire due to the fact that there was no dry wood. Go figure. Oh and did you notice the baked beans they cooked by the fire?

The boys did show back up around 8 in the morning on Saturday because of the cold. I give them props, I didn't think they would last that long. I know I wouldn't have!

On Saturday, we spent most of the day with my parents and going with my dad to get this:

After, we went to Red Lobster with the fam and took my mom to the airport :( It's already been different getting used to not calling her every day. 3 months is a long time without talking every day haha! I am jealous that she gets to play with Kenyon and Noa all day evey day ;)

A few weeks ago, because of the fabulous Drew, we started doing Family Home Evening on Monday nights. Even though it's Family Home Evening, I think it's more of and excuse for all of us to hang out ;) Last week we did a service project and helped one of Bo's co-workers house. This week, Drew and Jessica made a fabulous dinner and we ended the night at Krispy Kreme! We of course have a great uplifting lesson as well! It's so much fun! It seriously is easier having FHE when you have others to do it with :) I can't wait for summer so we can do lots more!

Did anyone else have a loooong week like we did? Long weeks make for fast weekends :(

Earlier this week I had a rough day at work so Bo surprised me with all of this:

Some of my favorites! I love dark chocolate and he didn't know which kind I liked the best so he got them all ;) Chocolate can always make a girl feel better right? It worked for me!

We have been wanting a Love Sac forever and this weekend we got one! We got to use ALL the space in our car to transfer it home. We already LOVE it! I've taken 2 naps on it and they were marvelous!

Yesterday, we met up with Bo's cousins at Rice in Salt Lake for sushi. We haven't seen them forever. It was so nice catching up and finally getting to meet little baby Rome! Thanks again for the invite Tiarra!

Later we went to Insidious with Drew and Jessica! Best scary movie I've seen in a long time! I recommend seeing it! I am one who will pick a scary movie over a chick flick any day so I was happy this one was actually good. I felt bad for poor Jessica, she is not a fan of scary movies. At one point I was practically in Bo's lap from jumping, embarrassing I know. Parts of the story line got a little weird but I thought it was time well spent.

Tonight Bo took a short break from homework and we went rollerblading. Good end to the weekend. Is anyone else as ready for school to be over as we are? Even though I'm not going, I CAN NOT wait for Bo to be done for the semester. Then we can rollerblade all time.

Have I mentioned that on Saturday, my mom will be leaving for Australia for 3 whole months? It's gonna be strange not being able to have our daily chats. Skype will do though. I am so happy that she will be there with Toya and her family though!

Girls Night & Answered Prayers

The weekend was of course fabulous not only for the reason that it was Conference but Jessica and I had a girls night to celebrate her getting married! While the boys went to the Priesthood session last night, we went and played :)

Our night started out with pedicures! The girl who did our pedicures just happened to be engaged as well so we had a fun time talking about plans, engagement stories, receptions etc. I can't believe that I was engaged this time last year! Time flies way too fast once you're married, that's all I have to say.

The girl was so nice! She even painted little flowers on our toes!

After our pedicures we went to Spark and had yummy drinks!It is really nice and a fun place to just hang out. We just sat back in the lounge and enjoyed out drinks.

After our drinks, we figured the boys would be wondering where we were. All of us were starving so we ended the night with Outback and a movie! It's always fun hanging out with these guys! Did I mention that they got a place right next to ours?! Do you realize this means our summer is going to be epic?

To top off the fabulous weekend, Conference never fails to bring such a spiritual uplift. Bo and I had a certain question we needed answered and of course, the Lord provided the answers we needed. I truly know the that the Lord knows us individually and He knows of our desires. I love hearing the words of the Prophet, his counselors and all the church leaders. I loved all the talks on the family and especially marriage. Before I was married I would always listen to what they had to say about marriage, but now I can actually put it into action and apply the counsel into my daily life. It's feels weird to think 'one day this will apply to me,' and now it does!

A few other highlights for me were:

* Righteous love is the foundation for a successful marriage.

*Growth can not come by taking the easy way.

*By becoming the answer to someone's prayers, often becomes the answer to ours.

*No pain or trial we suffer is waisted pain.

Happenings

Blogging has been tough to get to these past couple weeks. Time just does not slow down. Here are some things we have been up to:

Jessica and I got rollerblades! We got tired of following Bo and Drew in the car while they freeborded so now we are going to rollerblade while they do their thing :) I'm still trying to get it all down but it's a good work out!

A few weeks ago we got this amazing deal on KSL Deals. It came with unlimited admission to Raging Waters, RSL tickets, Grizzlies tickets, Blaze tickets and more! So we took advantage of our RSL tickets last week and went to a game!

Last week was Bo's spring break so we took a couple days off, relaxed and Bo's work got a presidential sweet at a Flash game so we went and got treated to dinner and everyone got to listen to Bo scream til his throat hurt at all the other team's player haha

This was the BEST part of the break! We got to meet our new baby niece Drea! She was born last Friday.She is gorgeous and perfect! She is a little snuggle bunny and loves to be held tight and close! I wish I could spend days with her.

I of course had to bring my rollerblades with me on our visit to show Marli and Dylan. Marli had to try them out so Papa and Grandma bought them some of their own. Aren't they so cute?! So when we weren't snuggling Baby Drea, we were outside rollerblading, skateboarding and scootering! It was such a nice break!

On another note! We got Apple TV!!! Yay! Bo has been wanting it for FOREVER! Thanks to my fabulous father, we are now proud owners of one! Thanks Dad :)

Cafe Rio Recipes

Tonight we had homemade Cafe Rio pork salads with our friends. They were fabulous! I just thought I'd share a few of the recipes!

Cafe Rio Pulled Pork

5-7 lbs pork tender loin

2 cans of Coke or 1 1/2

1 tsp Cumin

2 Cups brown sugar

1 big jar salsa (preferably La Victoria)

Place pork in crock pot. Cover with water about an inch over pork. Cook on low overnight.

Mix Coke, cumin, brown sugar and salsa. Drain the water from the crock pot and shred the pork. Pour the Coke mixture over pork and cook for another 3-4 hours.

I had Dr. Pepper already so instead of Coke I used that. It worked out great!

Tomatillo Dressing

1 pkg buttermilk rance

1 Cup buttermilk

1 Cup mayo

2 jalapenos, chopped fine

2 tomatillos, chopped fine

little lemon

little tabasco

little garlic

1/2 bunch of cilantro, chopped fine

Mix everything together. Let set for 1-2 hours.

Cilantro Lime Rice

4 Cups water

2 Cups white rice

4 tsp chicken bullion

2 cloves garlic

1/2 onion, chopped

1 large lime

1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped fine

Chop onion, garlic and cilantro. In a 4 Cup measurer squeeze lime so that all juice is extracted. (I couldn't find a large lime so I used 1 1/2 small ones) Fill container with water until it equals 4 cups then pour into a sauce pan (only use 4 cups). Add chicken bullion and bring to boil. When boiling, add rice, garlic, onion and cilantro. Cover and cook for 25 minutes or as long as instructed on the rice package.

Mac Mania & Flash

I guess you could say it's been a bit of Mac Mania around here considering with this post and my last post, there are 3 pics of Macs! Yet another Mac has been brought into the family, this time by Bo's dad. On Friday Bo's fam came out and we got his dad all set up on his new MacBook Pro. We are so excited! Now we get calls at random times of the day from Bo's dad from FaceTime :)

This picture and these guys are what got us court side seats at the Flash game last night ;) We seriously had so much fun! Drew just happened to get 6 free tickets to the game last night and it was well worth it for a good time! Drew and Bo were dancing, cheering and yelling so amazingly that we got moved over to court side seats right next to the other team so they could do all the yelling and cheering they wanted. Drew did a great job and getting into a few of the other team's heads. Some of them actually talked to him and glanced at him all confused like!

Didn't know something free could be so fun!

Oh yeah, and we won!

We topped off the night with some yummy ice cream and fries from the Malt Shoppe!

Bo and I have been pretty lucky this month! We've been able to spend lots of time with our family! A couple weekends ago my parents and my grandma and Donald came out for my cousin's soccer game. This girl does rock at soccer! She is training with the high school team and there are plenty of coaches with their eye on her! The night before the game we all went the the famous Guru's. After the game we went shopping- not just normal shopping but shopping for one of the best things ever! A new MacBook Pro for my mom. I have been waiting for this day for a long time! I think I was more excited for her than she was!

Last weekend was so bitter sweet. Drew and Jessica came to Vernal with us for Heather's farewell. We had a blast! Don't think I've had that much fun in Vernal in a while ;) Right after we unloaded the car, Bo and Drew were on their freebords in the driveway. So of course Jessica and I joined in. And by joining in I mean we drove in the car very very slowly behind them with the lights on so they wouldn't get hit by other cars. This lasted for about a good 2 hours until poor Drew had the first crash of the night :(

Heather did such a great job at her farewell! It was all so perfect! Her journey up to now has been a long one. But seeing how far she has come has been the best part. I think that's what makes it so perfect! If anyone wants a great example of patients, she is the one to look to. She is an amazing missionary and I am so excited for the experiences to come for her. I know that her, her family and those who come into her life will be very blessed.

Can't wait to get our first letter or email from her!

We got to go shopping again on Monday! Bo got a new baby just like my mom! We now have another Mac in the house! I'm so excited he got it! It is perfect for school for him! We both love it already!

Last weekend we went to good ol' Vernal to celebrate my grandma's 75th (I mean 74th) birthday! My parents sent out invitations for her 75th birthday and after they were sent, my grandma informed my mom that she was actually turning 74 not 75...oops! But we celebrated anyway! We had a huge breakfast with waffles and fruit and all the good stuff! We all had a good time!

My grandma, being the amazing person she is, helped me make her famous enchilladas and spanish rice after the party. I have been craving them for months. Every time I go to her house to learn she ends up just taking over and of course since she is a master Mexican chef she doesn't use measurements and just adds things as she goes, I never learn! Well this time I told her she had to let me do it all by myself with only a little assistance and she did a great job at just letting me take over! I probably won't be able to ever make them taste the same but at least I can do it now! They were so extremely yummy mind you!

This is how my dad and Bo spent pretty much the whole weekend. Glued to their iPads! My dad got one a couple weeks ago for his birthday so the second we walked through the door this weekend Bo was teaching him all he needed to know.

Even though we'd only had our car a week, Vernal was our first little road trip! It was so nice! We absolutely enjoyed every minute of the drive!

Remember a few, and when I say a few I mean a lot, of months ago I mentioned that Bo got a gun? Well he has never been able to try it out so one our way back from Vernal we stopped and fired off a few! It definitely has some kick and makes your ears ring but I'm glad he finally got to shoot it!

Well that was our weekend. I feel like I am getting really bad at this blogging thing. Sometimes I just don't want to do it even though it takes only a few minutes.

I hope you all had a fabulous Valentine's Day like I did! Bo surprised me with an awesome breakfast! I'll spare you the pics cause I have a little bit of bed head and swollen eyes in the pics.

He also got me some perfume and my favorite lip gloss :) I got him a killer cell phone cover! And we ended the day with Zupas for dinner! Perfect day! I could never ask for a better Valentine!

It's been a while...

So I guess you can say that we had an A-MAZ-ING weekend last weekend! First off, we got to spend the day with a few of our friends for the Super Bowl! Great food and great company! Bo made yummy hamburgers and our friends came prepared with dip, salsa and all the goodies we could ask for! Does anyone pretty much just like the Super Bowl for the food like I do?

Another reason our weekend was A-MAZ-ING is because of this:

We got a new car! A Honda CR-V that is! I've always wanted one and I finally got one! I can't even tell you how much I love love love it! It's perfect! Neither one of us can believe that it is actually ours. Hasn't quite sunk in yet. We have already washed it because the snow storm on Monday and we have taken it on a few short drives just cause we love driving it so much ;) We are very happy with our choice! We have really been blessed.

Update & News!

So I have a little update on the whole key situation! Good news! My neighbor had the key. You see, when I went over to their apartment to see if the had found it, the wife answered the door. Turns our her husband had the key and she didn't know. So no worries! There is not a creeper that has our key. We are good and safe!

Other news! We are getting another nephew coming in June! We are super excited to be getting a niece and nephew just a few months apart! My niece Marli wants to name her new sister Ariel and Kenyon wants to name his new brother Horton- so that is their current names. haha! I'm curious to see what they change to next ;)

The weekend was sure eventful! Driving seems to be something Bo and I do on the weekends. I don't remember the last weekend we had where we slept in and did nothing. But, it makes life a lot more fun!

This weekend started off with a drive to Vernal. My friend Heather went through the temple. We have been talking about this day for months and it finally came! Last weekend she came to Provo to visit and we went temple dress shopping to get her all ready to go! It was such a great experience to see her go through. She is such a great example. I am so happy that Bo and I got to share her big day with her! Congrats girl!!

Heather picked a perfect night to go to the temple. It was foggy so it made the temple lights so bright!

Saturday morning there was no sleeping in! We woke up early so we could drive to Ogden. I don't think I've even mentioned this, but Bo is in a band! Yesterday was his first performance and he and his band did awesome! They sure got the crowd going and their singer did a great job at advertising and inviting to get such a great audience! Before the big show, we all went to Roosters with the band and our friends! It is a brewing company and restaurant. Their food is sooooo yummy!

Overall the night was a blast! I enjoyed watching Bo and our friends play! I love watching Bo do the things he loves and the things he is so talented at!

Australia's Crisis

As many of you know, my sister and her family live in Australia. My family has been asked several times if they are alright. They are doing well and are safe. Their home was not affected. Even though all is well with them, many of their friends, ward and stake members lost all they own. Many others also lost loved ones. Our heart goes out to all of them.

I'm sure you've seen pictures and videos on the news and internet. I can't even begin to imagine what the people in Australia are going through. My sister and brother-in-law spent many hours over the past week helping those in need. The stories my sister has told seem so unreal, crazy and scary. For example, dead frogs everywhere, snakes in the water and even sharks swimming up the streets! I am so thankful that my family is safe and we have all been truly blessed. Please keep Australia and those in need in your prayers. We love you Toya, Vake, Kenyon and Noa!

Just a little nervous...

You all know how it goes, when you're racing out the door in the morning to make it to work on time? Well, today was one of those days for me. I always eat breakfast in my car so my hands are full as I get into my car. Well, today I took my Voss water bottle. It slipped right out from under my arm and shattered on the ground... sad, sad day. It was freezing so I decided to keep my car running and just took the house key off the key ring. Since I was in a hurry I decided to just leave the key in the door cause I was going right back out to lock it again. Well... my clever idea was not so bright. In my rush of cleaning up the glass, throwing it in the garbage and getting a new water bottle I just ran out the door without locking it again- and you guessed it! I left the key in the deadbolt lock. Pretty sure I didn't realize it til I got home tonight and my key wasn't on my key ring. Then it hit me. The key was no longer in the deadbolt either...ugh. Why do I have to do idiotic things sometimes. I think I have good ideas til they fail me. I was a little scared as I opened my door but everything seems to be alright. The first thing I looked for was my MacBook. Is that bad? Guess we all know now where my priorities lie ;) Now... as I sit here and wait for Bo to get home from school, I am trying to decide if I am more nervous to tell him what I did, or if the thought of someone having the key to our deadbolt is worse?? You see, Bo is a bit of a paranoia.... Wish me luck! He gets home in approximately 30 minutes. dun dun dun...

Bo started playing soccer this week on a men's league. His game was at 11:30 pm... Really?? Come on haha! It was fun though! He is playing with a few friends from high school so it's fun seeing them play together again. Crazy how things happen! I never thought I'd see them all play together again.They had a good time. Now let's just hope the rest of his games aren't that late. I think I can only hope on that one.

Bo and I used our grill for the first time on Monday! We love it! Poor Bo sat outside and check the food in the cold but it was sooo good so I think it was worth it!

My mom and Marli and Dylan came to visit this week! It's so crazy how fast Marli and Dylan change! They had a blast on Bo's pull up bar haha! They are tough little kids!

On Thursday Bo's parents came to visit. We took them to Happy Sumo! I tell ya, we're addicted! We ate sooooooooo much! We all tried new things and loved all of it! The pic above is the Jezabel Roll and I recommend trying it! There are so many flavors in one bite ;)

Remember how I mentioned Guru's? Well they serve breakfast too! And it is just as fabulous as their other food! On New Year's Eve morning, Bo's parents took us and we got stuffed! My favorite thing is the Breakfast Quesadilla. It's yummy!

After breakfast we headed to SLC to meet up with one of Bo's mission friends. It was a lot of fun! Bo talked about him all the time while he was on his mission so I felt like I already knew him. But, it was nice actually meeting him in person and good to hear them reminisce about their mission!

To celebrate New Year, we went out to dinner with some friends then spent the rest of the night playing games and watching a movie! Yes, I know we ate WAY too much that day. I don't even know how we ate after going to Happy Sumo. Good thing it was all before the new year, we are going to work on changing our eating habits...

Yesterday we spent the day with Bo's fam snowboarding. Bo and I went clear to the top and we couldn't resist getting a pic. Isn't it pretty up there? But, I'm not going to lie, it was a little too cold for me. A few of us didn't last long and ended up in the lodge.

Well, here's to 2011! Hope it has brings as much joy to our lives as last year considering it was one of the best years of our lives! It's always fun learning, growing and enjoying life!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was fabulous this year! Bo and my first Christmas being married! I loved every minute! Christmas works out nice for his and my family. His fam does Christmas Eve dinner, mine does Christmas dinner so we don't miss out on a thing! I am an idiot though and didn't get any pics of our yummy dinners :(...

This year I thought I would be nice and bring something to his family dinner and it turned out to be a fail! I am pretty much not a good baker but the dessert I made didn't really even have to do with baking. A co-worker told me to mix cream cheese and crushed Oreos together then dip it in chocolate. Easy enough right? Nope! Not for me. Needless to say, I was embarrassed and we didn't eat them ha! So if any of you know the real way of how to make these let me know!

Christmas Eve we got our traditional pj present! Double time!

We slept at my parents this year so our Christmas day started off with stockings and presents at their house!

My parents might kill me for these pics but I couldn't resist. Can you tell how much fun we had??

After we ate breakfast at my house we were off to Bo's parent's for another breakfast and more presents! This is us in our pjs!

Bo and I got VERY VERY spoiled this year! Here's just a few things we got:

I got Bo a wireless keyboard for his iPad and a case. He finally got to play his guitar all he wanted. And his parents got him a pocket knife that he was super excited about.

(side note: a couple weeks before Christmas guess what Bo decided he needed? A pocket knife! So now he has 2! He was happy though, one for his pocket, one for his car!)

I got 3 pair of TOMS! I know right, spoiled I am! I love them though! And guess what! Bo went to Jared! I got these perfect diamond earrings! I LOVE them! The backs screw on so I won't lose them! I could stare at them all day!

We got this from Bo's parents! We have been wanting one since we got married! It's probably the only thing we didn't get. We can NOT wait to make steaks!

Thank you everyone for all your love and presents! We are very blessed to have you all in our lives! We hope you had as great of Christmas as we did!

Likes and Not so Much

My not so much likes from this past week include:

The tabernacle in Provo burning down. Sad, sad day. It was a crazy sight! While driving home from work last week I could see flames coming out the side door. Those poor fire fighters :(

Waking up to this.... Pretty sure we do not have a shovel. I know, who doesn't have a shovel in Utah? I didn't think I was going to make it to work. Thanks to a neighbor I made it out. As soon as Christmas is over. I'M DONE WITH SNOW!!

My likes of the past week:

Crab wontons from Happy Sumo! They are FABULOUS! And the sauce is nice and citrusy! I crave them and sushi all day every day.

Pretty Christmas lights!

Night boarding with Bo! We went the other night and it was perfect because it was snowing so it never got icy.

Getting on iChat with my sisters, niece and nephews. Best night activity! Since iChat has effects we all played with them and made funny faces and just laughed forever! Oh how is wish we all lived closer so that all the little ones could play together! They say the funniest things to each other!

Lights & Skating

Last night Bo and I went to Salt Lake with a couple of our friends! We went to Temple Square to see the lights and met up with more friends at the Gallivan Center for some ice skating! Man, it must have been the night to do both! Both places were packed but we still had a great time! They are doing construction on the Gallivan Center so the rink was pretty small so we were dodging people left and right. Makes me look forward to next year- I want to see how the new one turns out!

Bo and I love Sunday morning breakfast! We have church at 1 so we usually sleep in and eat right before we go. Our favorite thing to make is Radio City style breakfast sandwich just like from Gandolfo's. They are the best. Well actually 'we' don't make them, Bo does and he is the master at them! They are fabulous! It's gonna be rough when we move to 9 o'clock church. Our breakfast tradition might be put on hold for a year :(

Our tree finally looks like a Christmas tree! Yesterday I went to get my hair dyed and I came home to one of the best surprises! Bo had cleaned our room, made our bed, vacuumed the apartment, cleaned the kitchen and mopped, scrubbed the whole bathroom and did some laundry! Oh yeah and put the lights on the Christmas tree! Isn't he the AMAZING?! So as I sit here and type I am enjoying the lights! Love them ;)

Christmasifying/Decorations

You may call Bo and I hum bugs but our apartment isn't too Christmasy. Not gonna lie, we weren't even planning on having a Christmas tree but his parents gave us one so we weren't gonna pass it up! I would take a pic of it but it's a bit pathetic at the moment. The lights are sitting on the ground under it and we have no ornaments so we made these:

Our very own handcrafted ornaments! Do you like? We started them at like 9 at night so not too many got made. Maybe soon our tree will be full of them!

Our other Christmas decoration we have is this cute advent calendar! Bo's mom made it for us and it's fabulous! Fun way to count down to Christmas!

We've also been searching for a rug for our kitchen and the one we got we love! And we wanted to use our bowls sooo bad that we made soup the next day haha! PS we got them all HERE!
