Baby Harris 33-36 Weeks and the Baby Shower

Everything is still going great over here!
I am just feeling big and reaching the uncomfortable stage. At my 32 week doctor appointment, my belly was measuring 2 weeks small so I went in for and ultrasound and everything looked great! The baby must have just been in a weird position. The ultrasound read that she weighed about 4 pounds and was in the 38th percentile. That makes me even more curious as to what her size will be when she is born :)
My itching is getting a little better. For a while there I was going crazy! My whole body itches! My belly, my back, my legs, my arms! But slowly it is getting better thanks to Benadryl!

A couple weekends ago, my mom, sister, mother-in-law and sisters-in-law threw me a baby shower in Vernal. We all had so much fun and Bo and I got very blessed! My aunt and grandma also came from out of town so they helped my mom and sister with all the food. They did a nacho bar, had hot chocolate and wassel and plenty of chocolate because I can't get enough! Bo's mom did an amazing job and did all the decorating. I loved all of it! We got everything we needed and much, much more! Our little girlie will not be going without and she is very spoiled to say the least ;)

Bo's mom and sisters put this drop ceiling up the night before the shower and it was so sad, by 4 in the morning it all came down. I felt so bad cause they with to all the work of putting it up and getting it all ready.

Isn't this so cute?! My aunt made it!

This is me and my cousin Catlin. She is due in April.  By the time she has her baby, we will have 5 new little girls on my dad's side of the family from all the recent babies!

It's always good to see my friends and catch up!

You can't really tell in this last picture, but last Tuesday or Wednesday I woke up and I swear the baby had dropped some. I can now breath a little better and I am starting to feel some pressure. I can't decide if I would rather have her up in my ribs or feel the way I feel right now. I am getting pretty uncomfortable. Sitting is the worst for long periods of time but I guess I can be grateful that it took me this long to just now start feeling uncomfortable.
I also haven't really felt any Braxton Hicks or anything yet so things are going pretty good. My wedding ring doesn't fit on my finger by the end of the day so I decided to just take it off in fear of getting it stuck. My ankles and legs swell a little here and there as well but that is about it. I guess I can't complain too much yet.
I am starting to go to the doctor weekly now so I am excited to see how things start progressing. Bo is going on a business trip to West Virginia and Philadelphia this week and he is a bit nervous that something crazy will happen and I'll go into labor but considering the way I am feeling I would say chances of that happening are slim. But if it did, we would both be pretty upset! While he is gone, my mom is coming out and we are doing a few more things for the nursery so I am really hoping that by next week it will be finished! I can't wait to get it all done. It drives me nuts walking past the room and seeing it unfinished and a mess!
I have my list of what to pack for the hospital but haven't started packing. It doesn't seem real enough yet to start. I do need to get a few more things but any advice on what to take and what not to take would be nice!
I really can't believe that we have just a few more weeks to go! It doesn't seem real at all. Time has gone so fast! I am so excited and nervous. I say this now and I'm sure it will change when the time comes but I am not as nervous about the labor part as I am to bring our little one home. I can't believe our lives are going to be changing forever so soon and that we will have a new little one in our lives to love more than anything!

Baby Harris Weeks 28-32

We made it back safe and sound from Australia! We had so much fun! I didn't want to come home! I am just waiting to get all of the pictures we took from my parents and sisters before I blog about it.

I am happy to say that Baby Harris did great traveling! The only complaint/problem I had was swollen feet and ankles from a sunburn and from being on my feet almost all day every day. So don't judge me for any cankle pictures you see. We got lucky on the way out and on the way home for our long flight. Bo and I had an extra seat, so being the amazing husband he is, he let me stretch out and rest.

Our little girl definitely grew while we were gone and I think she is hitting a growth spurt right now cause  I sure am feeling it! I know my belly is stretching cause it itches like crazy! It keeps me up at night. Any suggestions on how to help it would be greatly appreciated! I put lotion on like 3-5 times a day and it does nothing.

I love love chocolate right now! If I have gained any weight lately, I can probably blame it on all the cookies I ate in Australia! Baby Girl may be a sugar addict from day one ;)

I passed my glucose test! I was so happy cause that stuff is not the best and I thought I was going to throw up 15 minutes into it!

Right now, Bo and I are enjoying watching my belly move and see her roll around. Her favorite side is my right side. I think her little feet get stuck in my ribs and her little bum pokes out as far as she can get it to poke out. I am starting to experience heart burn more frequently and worse. I've never experienced anything like it! Baby Harris also gets hiccups at least twice a day, if not more! The first time she got them, I wasn't quite sure what it was but then it started happening more frequently so we figured that's what it was.

Yesterday we got to do our 3D ultrasound! It was so good to see her. The poor thing is already running out of room. I wish we would have done it sooner. Her face was against the placenta the whole time and we couldn't get her to move. She was kicking away but we just couldn't get her head to turn much. But that's alright! We still got to see her open her mouth and stick out her tongue and suck on her tongue! And we even saw a little hair! Let's hope it stays! Technology is seriously amazing now days!

I can't believe we have a little less than 2 months and she will be here! I don't feel ready at all. So much to do, so little time! I know I will never feel ready but sheesh, time is going fast! Even though I am nervous, I can't wait to meet her!

Bo starts his last semester tomorrow! Wish us luck for the next 4 months! It's going to be an adventure!

Getting ready to board the plane to Australia!

I know we took two, 30 pics! Couldn't decide on the one we liked.

This was on New Year's Eve in Brisbane!

I can't believe this is actually her! It doesn't seem real!

Thanksgiving/ Baby Harris 23-27 Weeks

November sure was a fast month! We were busy and had lots going on! We had both Bo and my birthday along with Thanksgiving and lots of visits from our family! I have lots to update on.

Just a little update on our little girlie, she is growing, and growing FAST! After Thanksgiving, Bo went to Philadelphia for work so I stayed in Vernal and did some projects with my mom and Julie! We made all of the bedding for the nursery (pics to come soon, I just wanna get more of the nursery done)! While I was there I swear the baby grew overnight! I didn't even recognize my belly when I woke up one morning! No lie, I wore some jeans to Vernal, when I left I couldn't wear them anymore. You can pretty much tell from my pics from 26 to 27 weeks. I grew a lot and now I feel like she is growing every day! I can't believe how soon she will be here!

She sure is getting stronger as well. Her jabs, kicks, flips and punches can sure make me jump! She loves my ribs on my right side and has learned how to stretch out. I don't know if it her feet and arms, but they can poke out on both of my sides at the same time!

I am feeling really good! Sometimes I feel bad for complaining so bad in the beginning but hey, it wasn't too fun. Now I am just enjoying things like charlie horses in my calves, heart burn, and slowly running out of energy. Who knew that just hanging out all day could make you tired?

Our poor girl still has no name yet. If you know anything about Bo and I, you know how indecisive we are. We do have a middle name picked out so that is one less thing to worry about! We have a name we pretty much agree on but there are others I may be willing to settle on. I just wanna see her little face and put a name to it so we'll probably bring our list to the hospital. There are only like 3 names we agree on though, so hopefully it won't be too hard of a decision.

Speaking of the hospital! Bo and I went to a birthing class last month. Let's just hope we can remember the things we learned, but who am I kidding, nothing ever goes as planned right? But, I'm glad we went! It was actually a pretty fun experience!

We leave for Australia on Friday! I can't believe it's already here! I am a bit nervous for the flight. Sitting for a long period of time gets uncomfortable considering she likes my ribs. Also, it's supposed to be HOT while we are there so let's hope we don't overheat ;) But we are all overly excited to spend time together as a family! I am so excited to be with all of my nieces and nephews all at the same time! Friday can't come fast enough!

Bo's last day of this semester is on Tuesday! This semester has been rough and the next one will only be worse, but! he is registered for graduation for April so we couldn't be more excited! Wish us both luck on the next 4 months!

I think this is all the updates I have for now! Just enjoying pregnancy and seeing the miracle of what my body can do! The next update will be from Australia :) I hope you all have an amazing Christmas and New Year!

For Bo's birthday we went to the mall and he requested Braza for some Brazilian food!

Our annual shooting on Thanksgiving!
My mom's wrapping job on my birthday present. Love her!

See what I mean about how I grew!?!

Just a little sneak peak of the projects we worked on after Thanksgiving!  We had 4 sewing machines and we sewed our booties off!

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you've probably already seen this but I had to post it on here. It looks like Bo and I have a chance of having a little chunky baby! Either way, I am so excited to kiss her little (or chubby) cheeks!

Our "Been-Up-To's" and Baby Harris Weeks 18-22

We have been pretty busy since last month! I am doing terrible at this posting thing but hopefully now I can do better! Here are just a few things we have been up to!

At the end of September, we went to the Manchester Orchestra and Brand New concert at U of U. We went a few years ago to the same concert and it was one of our favorite we've been to so we were excited to go again! It was a lot of fun for Bo, but I wouldn't suggest  going to that kind of concert while pregnant. Too many people smoking and I couldn't get near the stage whatsoever. It kind of makes me feel old when I say that ;) Concerts probably just aren't my thing anymore, maybe a more mellow one would be better. We got to see a few of our friends though that we don't see often and we got to hang out with Bo's sisters so that was the fun part about it for me :)

Not going to lie, once I hit this 18 week mark, I realized that my belly was growing, something I probably should have realized earlier, I felt huge in this picture and had a pregnant emotional moment haha! I am doing much better now and embracing my belly!

I started feeling our girlie kick right after 18 weeks! Probably my favorite part right now! Bo felt her kick on October 5th for the first time! I was so excited he got to experience it so soon as well! Probably because one of her favorite times to kick is right when we get into bed at night! She loves keeping me awake til she gets comfortable. She also kicks a lot first thing in the morning and around lunch time! She probably takes after me and gets upset when she is hungry!

Half way! Yay!

In the middle of last month, our amazing parents came out and helped us move. We absolutely love our new place! Much better than before. I also do not suggest moving while pregnant haha! I felt pretty useless cause everything was so heavy and it's crazy how fast I got tired. I felt like an old lady! But Bo luckily was able to get the day off for the move and our parents did a lot to help us unpack and my mom pretty much cleaned our other apartment for inspection, which I will forever be grateful for!

The day we moved into our new place,  our crib was waiting at the door for us! Bo's parents got it for us and we were all so excited to see it put together! Once the weekend came and we were all settled in, Bo couldn't take it anymore, he had to get it put together so Landon and Olivia came over to help! We love it! It is so weird to think there will be a baby in there before we know it! My mom came back out this week and we got all the fabric and supplies to make the crib bedding! That is going to be our project over Thanksgiving! I can't wait to get it all together! I think the nursery will be the best part of our new place!

Right after 20 weeks, we had another ultrasound! We love seeing the baby! She got all checked out and she is healthy and we couldn't be more happy!

Last weekend we carved pumpkins with Landon and Olivia! Gotta do it right?! None of us wanted to get our clothes dirty so Bo and I dug out some old family reunion t-shirts so we could all match ;)

Our friends Andrew and Alesha invited us to their place last night for Halloween. A bunch of people at Bo's work dressed up as the characters from Grease for the day. I was going to wear a poodle skirt to match him but it didn't quite fit around my belly so a hippie is the only other thing I had.

Overall I am feeling much better. I only get nauseous every now and then. A lot of food gives me heartburn but that is about it!  We are starting a birthing class next week! I know it's early. They don't offer the class we want in December, in January my sister will be here from Australia and next semester Bo will be taking on 17 whole credits at school plus working full time! We will be busy busy and Bo will be extremely busy so why not get the class out of the way?! I am so thankful for Bo. He makes my life too easy. He is so busy with school and work and works extra hard to provide for us! We can not wait til April! Bo will be graduating and then the baby and I will have him all to ourselves for a while! We will also see how his hard work will pay off!

We are so excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas! We love being with family! I think it is going to make time fly! We are especially getting more and more excited for Australia! I am a little nervous about the flight so any advice on traveling would be nice ;) I can't wait to see my nephews and then spend extra time with them and my sister in January!

Sugar and Spice!

Looks like our instincts from the beginning were right!
Baby Harris is a GIRL!!

We couldn't be more thrilled! We found out last Monday and the lady doing the ultrasound was pretty sure she was a little girl! We got some great pictures of her! We loved seeing her move around, kicking her legs and moving her arms. She even had a little head bob going on. Maybe she will run after her daddy and love music! She is just too cute already!

I still haven't felt her move, that I know of anyway. Hopefully soon though. I am already feeling big and only put on jeans if I absolutely have to ;) I am feeling better each day with only a bad day here and there. My nights are starting to consist of achy hips and heartburn, but nothing too unbearable.

We found a new apartment and will be moving next month. Now my brain is going crazy with ideas for the nursery. I just have to keep telling myself we still have FOREVER and I have plenty of time to plan and do projects! It's just too fun though, right?!

We have another ultrasound at 20 weeks so we will see if our little one really is a girl. Either way, we can't wait! We are happy we have a healthy little one :)

Waiting to find out!

Finally An Update! Baby Harris: 8 - 15 Weeks

I don't exactly know where to begin for this post. Let's just say the experience of pre-pregnancy and pregnancy itself has been a roller coaster. I guess I should start by saying how blessed Bo and I have been in our experience and we couldn't be more happy that we are getting closer to welcoming a new little member into our family.
After a long road of trying to get pregnant, Bo and I found on on June 21st that our prayers were answered! I took a pregnancy test and we both couldn't believe it so I had to take a couple more just to be safe ;)
As for the pregnancy part, I have been putting off this post because I know how blessed we've been but, to be honest, if you've seen the movie "What to Expect When You're Expecting" I am like the lady that Elizabeth Banks plays. I know I shouldn't complain but it's been an adventure from quitting my job, an ER visit (hence the 10 & 11 week pic), right down to a dermatologist visit that I had today in fact! Oh the joys, right?!
Well enough of that part! We really are so excited! We have had amazing support from our friends and family. I am starting to feel tons better! Hopefully within the next week or two I'll feel like a million bucks! Food is starting to sound more appealing (no cravings yet!)  and I even got myself to the gym the other day! And of course we all can. not. wait! to find out if we are having a boy or girl! Bo and I were both set on a girl when I first got pregnant, but now we have no clue! I love little girl bows and frilly dresses but I also can't resist the little tiny baseball hats and high top shoes for a little boy. I guess we'll know soon enough!
Now,  just wish us luck on picking out a name ;)

Thanks to Mookie for the drawing on this one!

Thanks to Landon for the drawing on this one!
