Denver

A couple months ago I asked Bo what his favorite hockey team was, which is probably something I should have already known. I figured it was probably going to be a Canadian team since he used to go to Canada to play hockey each year. But nope, it's the Avalanche! I asked him why he had never been to a game and we planned a trip pretty much right then and there. Landon and Olivia came right over to help plan cause of course we couldn't go without them considering, Landon always went to Canada with Bo and they played hockey together growing up!

The weekend for us to leave could not come fast enough! We left on Friday afternoon and we of course had to take pictures along the way!

The boarder :)
We got lucky and Landon's dad was going through Grand Junction the same time as us so we met him at Famous Dave's for dinner and to take a break from driving.

In the Eisenhower Tunnel.

We arrived in Denver around midnight so we drove around for a while before checking into our hotel.
In the morning, getting excited for the game!

We were excited to try new places to eat so in the morning we went to the Delectable Egg for breakfast.

To kill time before the game, we went to the Denver Art Museum. Landon had heard a few things about it. It was actually really fun and they had a lot of neat things and the building itself is really cool!

And then it was off to the gam!! What we had been waiting for!

The game was soooooo much fun! It was perfect! The Avalanche won in a shoot out so it was pretty intense and so fun to experience live!

After the game we shopped and shopped!

After the mall we had reservations at Fogo de Chao. Landon and Bo picked this place and had been so excited for it. It is a Brazilian restaurant pretty much like Tucanos. It was so much fun and delicious!

In the morning, I guess we had to make up for all the meat we ate at Fogo de Chao cause we decided to try out City O City, a vegan place we had heard about. Based from the menu we were a bit nervous but it ended up being some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had! And the tea was fabulous!

After breakfast we did a little more shopping then headed home! It was such a nice weekend! I am so glad that we got to go! Especially that Bo and Landon got to go! Too bad we don't live a little closer. Maybe we'll have to make it an annual trip :)

A Trip Alone

A few weeks ago, I had a long, long week at work and needed a little getaway. Bo was busy with school and had a lot of homework so I surprised my sister and met my parents St. George. I only went for 2 nights but that is the longest Bo and I have been apart in our married life. Thank goodness for FaceTime right??
I listened to The Help on the way home and it was so good! I highly recommend it!

My weekend pretty much consisted of hanging out cause poor Marli was so sick. It was so nice though. The weather was perfect!

Poor Marli.

I love how Dylan lets his little ears poke out of his hats :)

My sister, mom and I went to see The Vow.

Dylan and I took a trip to Wal-Mart to get stuff to make crepes. He is so fun to go to the store with!

Valentine's Day

Bo of course had class on Valentine's Day this year but somehow he managed to get out of class a few minutes early :) So, he chose to go to Braza for dinner for a little Brazilian food. We were happy to find out they has Guarana Antartica. We can't find it anywhere but there so it was a nice surprise!

Bo and I got each other hoodies for our Avalanche game for Valentine's this year but he also surprised me with some fingernail polish. He knows me so well. I was very excited! He even painted them for me to see how all of the colors would turn out!

Super Bowl 2012

Super Bowl this year was nice and relaxing. We made Cafe Rio pork and made nachos. They were fabulous.
I pretty much only like the Super Bowl for the commercials for in between, Olivia and I made wreaths. The day was a pretty good one if I may say!
