Painting!

When Bo and I moved into our apartment, the first thing Bo said was "I wanna paint!" The walls of course weren't in the best condition and a little dingy. So we got permission from our managers and this Friday we did it!... well, the living room anyway. We were brave and did one wall a brownish color and redid all the white! We painted til 4 in the AM but we got it done. We had to cause the US played on Saturday and we had to get the tv hooked back up of course! We love it and it makes it feel more like a home, nice and cozy!

This is one of the best handy-dandy painting tools! It works perfect for corners- no more taping! You should try next time you paint!

Tah-Dah!!

We had to go for a soda run at like 11. By 4 we were a little wired ;)

Chalk Art Festival

Utah Foster Care Foundation puts on the Chalk Art Festival every year at the Gateway Mall. Bo's dad works for Utah Foster Care Foundation so his family is always there helping out, aka driving the golf cart :) and Bo's little sister has participated in the past few years. They have 2 different categories for judging and they bring in Featured Artists that do amazing jobs! Here's just a few pics from it! If you've never been you should go next year, it's awesome!

(Mook's drawing! She did such a great job!)

Bo of course can tell this story better than I can, but while he was on his mission he and his companion converted Carlos. Carlos is a very special convert to Bo. He was so good to the missionaries and did all he could to help them out by giving them rides, feeding them, welcoming them into his home and he even got a ticket to fly from Recife to Sao Paulo with Bo and his group when they flew home, just so he could spend that little extra time with them. Bo and Carlos have kept in pretty good contact but sadly, we haven't heard from him for a couple months but... Bo got a call from him yesterday! It seems as though every phone call gets better! Carlos had great news yesterday! He told Bo that he went thru the temple last week and received his endownment and is also the secretary in the bishopric! He also said he is going to be turning his papers in for a mission soon! We are so excited for Carlos!

I love to see Bo so excited! He explained to me that it's things like this that made his mission worth it! I can't help but think of the scriptures D&C 18:15-16. Bo helped convert Carlos and because of that, Carlos will help someone else and it will continue that way. The Lord will always provide a way. I am so thankful for the gospel in my life and for all the missionaries who are being a servant to the Lord!

Laaaaaaame!

Sooo... Today I met Bo for his lunch break, when we were done he walked me out to my car and this is what we found:
UGH! There was a huge antifreeze puddle on the ground. Who knows how long it has been leaking cause there was like nothing left in the tank, lame! I took my car in to get it serviced a couple weeks ago and the little service ended up costing me $95 :(... Now who knows how much this will cost (sigh)...

That is all for my sob story of the day. I hope your day was better!

1 Month!

I can not believe how fast a month can go! Seriously! Bo's and my first month of marriage has come and gone with me almost not even realizing it! I've pretty much blogged our life but here's a little more of what we've been up to:

  • We've pretty much been back-and-forth between Provo and Vernal and Provo and Salt Lake. It really is nice living so close to Salt Lake.
  • I've been job searching everyday of my life, ugh! But, Bo found a job! Yay! He loves it and loves the people he works with! Couldn't ask for more!
  • We stated P90X last week. We were both sore so I'm thinking it really works! Hopefully at the end of the 90 days we'll see lots of good results!
  • We've watched like 4 or 5 World Cup games already! Yay for USA's tie! Better than a loss right?
  • We have our apartment looking more like an apartment. The guest room, the living room, the bathroom and the kitchen are all done. Now, what to do with our room?
  • We have been enjoying cooking dinner every night! It has become one of our favorite things to do together!
This doesn't sound like much, but like I said, I've pretty much blogged everything else. We've had a busy first month. I've enjoyed every minute!

It's FINALLY here!!

The 2010 World Cup is FINALLY here! Bo set his alarm clock just so he could watch the first game this morning! Crazy to think that him and I have been together for 2 World Cups! I can still remember watching the last one with him! We are so excited to see who wins! They are saying it should be between Brazil and Spain! Bet ya can't guess who we are rooting for ;) I have a feeling we may have a battle for the tv some time cause right now I'm addicted to SYTYCD. But since the World Cup only comes around every 4 years, Bo might just win! Good luck USA!!!!!!

No worries, it took NO time for the boys to play soccer together!
