(the buscuits, and look at the smile on my dad's face!)
Sorry I am talking a lot about the Christmas break but I am trying to get all caught up on my blog so I can add current events hah! But, over the break I went with my parents, my grandma and Donald, and Kegon to Salt Lake to check out a few diners my dad has been wanting to try out for a while. My dad was so excited! He saw these diners on the Food Network of course! They were really good actually! We woke up early, left Vernal, and arrived in Salt Lake in time to eat breakfast at one diner. It was so yummy! They had these biscuits that were huge and almost like cake! They were so good! The second diner we went to was yummy as well and had interesting decorations on the inside haha! While we were there we also went to body worlds. I loved it! I never realized how interesting the human body is and what exactly is inside of it. Did you?

Making Enchilladas with Grandma Sally

Flicking my wrist too hard

My funny looking enchilladas.

My Grandma's Mexican food has always been my favorite thing to eat and I'm sure many of my family members can agree that it's the best! While I was in Vernal for the break I asked my grandma if we could have big dinner and she agreed so I went to help her. I was not a very good help. No one can do it like Grandma can. I had so much fun though! My enchilladas didn't look very good but they tasted fabulous with improvements from my grandma. While we were making the sauce to go over the enchilladas my grandma was explaining to me that it was "all in the flick of the wrist." Well I think I flicked my wrist a little too hard cause I ended up spilling all over the stove... oops! I had so much fun though and I know it will always be a memory I will have with my grandma! I love that lady!

Playing in the Snow

Over the Christmas break it snowed a lot so Whitney, Kaylen, and I decided to go take pictures in it! There was soooo much snow! I loved it! Sadly, it was probably one of the most fun nights I had while I was in Vernal considering there wasn't much to do the whole break. While we were playing in the snow, our feet got so cold and we got soaking wet! Whitney is so funny she didn't even wear proper shoes to play in the snow they basically weren't even shoes haha she just had to wait for her feet to get numb before she could run around in it with Kaylen and I.

The Rubik's Cube

This sounds kinda nerdy but I am excited to say that I have now learned how to do the Rubik's Cube! I am so happy! It took me forever to learn and to remember the steps haha! I had a friend teach me and I am very thankful for his patience! I'm not going to lie either, doing the Rubik's Cube is addicting. Once ya start you can't stop!

Elder Harris

Elder Harris is a very amazing person. He is sort of special to me. Okay, he is really special to me. He really is something else! I've never met a guy more respectful, sensitive, or a better friend than he is. I met him my senior year in high school. He asked me to go to the Homecoming dance. I had really didn't know him but I was so excited cause I never thought I would get asked. I had so much fun! After the dance I told myself I wanted him in my life cause he seemed to be such a great person. Well, I kept that promise to myself. I have now known him a little over 3 years and he has been a part of my life EVERYDAY since then! We have had some GREAT memories together. I know there are tons I will NEVER forget and always love and laugh about. I can't exactly tell you when I started dating Elder Harris. I was one of those evil girls who played hard to get for a really long time. I know, I know.. not nice! But to this day I will NEVER REGRET keeping the promise to myself. He is now my best friend and one of the biggest examples in my life.
Elder Harris left on a mission in November 2007. He is serving in Recife, Brazil and having the time of his life! I am so proud of him and I have never been happier! He has been very successful. He has grown very much. He has worked VERY hard, hence, the picture of his tore up shoe! He has also gotten to share his talents (notice the pic with him and his guitar)! I am counting down the days to November 19th of this year (the day he gets home)! I know he is loving every minute so I don't want to make it sound like I want to rush things but it's always nice to have your best friend around right?! I am so thankful he asked me to Homecoming! Worth every moment!

A long day of boarding

So a while back a friend of mine asked me if I would like to go snowboarding. I agreed not knowing what the day was going to turn out like. Before we left he told me that I was going to have to climb the mountain to snowboard down. I was nervous at first being as out of shape as I am but I decided hey why not? When we got up there we came upon a group of guys who got their truck stuck. My friend decided to be kind and help them out. Then we ended up getting stuck too. It took forever for us to come up with a strategy to get them out but we got lucky and got them out! Next came the snowboard/climbing the mountain. It killed me! Wow! It was definitely my motivator that i need to start working on getting in shape cause it was rough hah! But the snow was up to my thighs and we had to break trail so yeah.. I guess you could say I had an excuse. It took us a good hour and a half to climb the mountain and probably only 10 minutes to get down (of course). My friend kept encouraging me to keep going cause the view was "beautiful" at the top hah! I guess it did pay off once I got to the top. Once we got down we decided to head home and guess what... once again we got stuck! Oh man this time it was bad cause there was another guy in front of us stuck. We had to help him out before we could get out ourselves.. not good! This time it took us and hour and a half to get unstuck. Luckily, two of my other friends were on the mountain that day and they helped out a lot. Needless to say, I was EXHAUSTED that night and slept very well!

USU vs. BYU

(BYU's crowd a few minutes before the game)

(USU's crowd a few minutes before the game)

A while back USU met BYU at the Energy Solutions Arena for a game! It was a blast! The USU crowd was wild! It seemed that USU had more spirit! Oh yeah that's right! I think we even had more people as you can tell in the pics, or BYU was on mormon standard time lol! We had to buy our tickets in advanced. Of course my friends and I didn't get in line quite early enough so we had to sit on the second row in the upper bowl haha! But, that's ok, we had a blast anyway!
After the game, I met up with Bo's family at Temple Square! Gotta love Temple Square around Christmas time!

Beading

One weekend while I was home in Vernal, my mom bought me a big bucket of beads. You know, the beads you put on shapes, make your own design, and then iron them to make them stick together? Well, last semester for some reason my friend Ryan, Whitney, and I got addicted to them. We would spend all night "beading" as Ryan would call it. It was hilarious watching him do it. He even got the bright idea to make Whitney and my names out of them. Whitney and I also made his name! We had a lot of fun.

Thanksgiving Break

Sorry it has taken me so long to add more to my blog. So with that said, over Thanksgiving break I went to Arizona with my family. It was so much fun and a whole lot warmer than Utah. It was great spending time with the family. We ate dinner at my Uncle Quenton's house, went to the zoo, and my sister, De'dy, and brother-in-law, Jake, took me to a few bars considering I had just turned 21 a few days before. I had a blast! My sister even talked me into riding the mechanical bull haha! On the way home my niece, Marli, rode in our car. She was so bored from the long drive. I felt so bad so I taught her how to take pictures with my camera. That entertained her forever haha! She loved it! After every picture she took she would hurry and turn the camera around, look at the picture, giggle, and say "Oh my dear!"  Good times!
