My check list is getting shorter and shorter! I am so happy! Yes, I know I've only been engaged for 2 weeks but hey, what can I say, I'm excited! Here is one thing (along with tons others) I just got checked off my list that I can't wait for!

This is the fabric print I am using for the refreshment table and for the backdrop at the reception!

This is the fabric print I am using for the table cloth overlays on all the tables :D

I know it may be weird to be excited just for the table cloths but I am haha! I love fabric as it is and I love the print of both of these fabrics! And another good part is, when it's all over I can make a super cute quilt :D

Weekend Wrap-up

Sooo... Like I said, I am not wasting any time getting my check lists done! This weekend I went dress shopping! It was a very interesting/fun experience. The first place I went to was the interesting part. It was a small place. When I got there I explained a little of what I wanted. Well the first thing the girl put on me was not exactly what I wanted. As you can tell by the sight of this:
Once I got out and looked in the mirror, I was horrified. I had to sign up for an appointment to try on dresses at this place so in my head I was thinking I wanted to just leave and knew it was gonna be a long hour. I tried to be a good sport and I tried on like four more dresses but it just wasn't my thing. I know there are plenty of people who would fall in love with the dresses I tried on. Just not my style I guess. Needless to say, the rest of the day was the fun part! I went to a new location and the very first dress I tried on I fell in love with! (preview to come later) I tried on two other dresses and decided I loved the first one so much that I didn't want to try on anymore. So the process went actually a lot faster than expected! I am sooo relieved to have dress shopping done!

This weekend Bo and I also got our engagement pictures done as well! Bo didn't have school today so we took advantage of the time we had! His mom did them and did a fabulous job! There are too many to choose from! I'm so excited! We had a such a great time! Here's a little preview of the pics!

Check Lists!

I'm not gonna lie, even though it is only the day after I got engaged I already have check lists for planning! This morning I already made about 100 phone calls! But the number ONE thing on my check list was to CALL THE TEMPLE! I could barely sleep last night because I was so excited to call the temple to get the date set and time set! I can not explain how excited I am to go to the temple! I know that it is going to be the best day of my life! Bo and I have chosen the Vernal temple because it's kind of special to both of us. It will also be convenient to all of our traveling family ;) So I guess I can say, it is official! We are getting married :D

Yep! It Happened!!!!!!!!!

Last weekend Bo and I went ring shopping! We were a little nervous and didn't really know what to expect. Before we went shopping we went to Cafe Rio in Provo. When we pulled into the parking lot we saw this little jewelry store and wondered if that would be a good place to go. After lunch we thought we might just check it out. Turns out ring shopping was actually really fun! We had a good time with each other! The place we went was so nice! It was smaller but that was just what we needed. The workers were so nice. A girl helped us and she didn't pressure us or anything. She was really helpful to both of us. We had a wonderful day!

Sooooo... I have to say that this weekend was one of the BEST weekends I've ever had. Considering we went ring shopping I knew the proposal part was going to come soon. I really didn't expect it to be this soon though. I thought the whole process of buying the ring would take longer so it would at least be next weekend. But, I was wrong!! Today when I woke up I texted Bo to let him know I was awake. He told me he wanted to see me but his sister had his car cause she was visiting a friend so he asked if I could go to his house. I agreed of course cause I wanted to see him as well. So, I got all ready cause I didn't know if I would have time to go back to my house to get ready for church then headed to his house. When I opened the door there tons of cute papers hanging from the ceiling. The first one said "things I love about Kayla" and the rest of them had words and pictures on them. They lead to Bo's room and when I opened his door he was down on one knee holding the ring! He asked me to marry him and of course I said YES!! Considering Bo didn't propose on Saturday I thought for sure he wasn't going to do it til a later time. I was so surprised! I am so excited to start yet another chapter in our lives!

Before Bo left on his mission he started calling me Begonia Head. It has kinda stuck around and we now both call each other Begonia... I don't really know why :D So he bought me begonias. He had to search for them. Nowhere had them but Roosevelt. I love them!

The papers that hung from the ceiling were all made by Bo and his mom. They stayed awake til 5 in the morning making them. I love them! He made them so they could be made into a book after we took them off the ceiling! He is so creative!

The ring!

P.S. If anyone has wedding advice or especially dress shopping advice please let me know ;)

Brand New Concert!

Last Friday a bunch of my friends and I went to the Brand New concert! It was so much fun! I have been waiting for this concert since before October. I bought a ticket to go in September and the concert got cancelled in October. But the good news about it was that Bo got to go with me :D! We had a blast! The crowd was CRAZY! I've never been in a mosh pit like that before, there were soooooo many people. We all fell over twice. Not gonna lie i got so scared and the first time a fat guy landed on me and the second time someone landed on my knee sideways. I thought it was gonna break but it was all good! When that all happened it was only the second band so we figured that when Brand New actually played we were gonna die so we got out of there haha! But we LOVED seeing Brand New! Worth every minute!
